Description:
Performs diagnostic computed tomography (CT) scan images.
Produces quality computed tomography exam images.
Exercises professional judgment in the performance of procedures.
Provides patient care and initiates life support measures as necessary.
Interacts effectively with patients, physicians, family members, department staff, and healthcare workers.
Operates CT equipment to produce quality CT scans.
Performs related procedures and protocols.
Utilizes new technology effectively.
Obtains information from patients or responsible parties to improve personalized treatment and care.
Develops an understanding of patients' physical and emotional statuses.
Works well with all age groups.
May have expanded job responsibilities based on facility needs, including on-call rotation, nights, weekends, and holidays.
Performs CT-related tasks and adheres to general CT protocols.
Operates in a Level 2 Trauma Center and Stroke Center.
Imaging hospital and clinic patients with required post-processing of images.
Assigned shifts may include weekends and call responsibilities.
Equipment utilized includes Toshiba Aquilion One, Siemens Definition Edge, Vital Fx Workstation, Tera Recon, SyngoVia, and EMR: EPIC/Radiant, PACS: McKesson.
Knowledge of CT scanners, cross-sectional anatomy and physiology, and 3D post-processing for various specialties is required.
Shift requirements are determined at the time of request, with varying day and evening shifts as assigned.
Weekends and occasional call coverage may be required.
Two-week orientation process to ensure competency.
