Technical Project Manager - Cybersecurity (PKI & Cryptography)About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced Technical Project Manager to support enterprise cybersecurity initiatives focused on Public Key Infrastructure (PKI), cryptography modernization, and certificate lifecycle management. This role will partner closely with cybersecurity, infrastructure, architecture, and vendor teams to drive critical security programs from planning through execution.
The ideal candidate combines strong project management expertise with a solid understanding of cybersecurity concepts and can effectively bridge technical teams, business stakeholders, and project delivery objectives.
Key ResponsibilitiesProject Management & Coordination- Lead project activities across multiple cybersecurity initiatives.
- Manage project schedules, deliverables, dependencies, risks, and status reporting.
- Coordinate change management processes, approvals, and change tickets.
- Facilitate project meetings and document key decisions and action items.
- Track work efforts and project progress using Jira and related tools.
- Maintain audit-ready project documentation and records.
- Create and manage project sites, documentation, and knowledge repositories within Confluence.
- Coordinate activities across multiple teams, platforms, and stakeholders.
Cybersecurity Program Support- Support enterprise PKI and certificate management initiatives.
- Assist with cryptography modernization programs, including preparation for post-quantum cryptography initiatives.
- Participate in vendor evaluations, proof-of-concept efforts, and solution selection activities.
- Coordinate implementation activities for cybersecurity platforms and services.
- Contribute to technical documentation, architecture diagrams, and process workflows.
- Support communications related to cybersecurity services, deployments, and operational changes.
Current InitiativesEnterprise PKI Modernization- Implementation of a new enterprise PKI solution.
- Evaluation and selection of certificate lifecycle management platforms.
- Coordination of vendor assessments and proof-of-concept activities.
Cryptography Modernization- Support planning and readiness efforts for post-quantum cryptography initiatives.
- Evaluation of cryptographic asset management platforms.
- Vendor assessments, proofs of concept, and future deployment planning.
Required Qualifications- 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity, information security, or related technical environments.
- Experience managing technical projects within cybersecurity or infrastructure organizations.
- Working knowledge of:
- Public Key Infrastructure (PKI)
- Cryptography concepts
- Certificate lifecycle management
- Cybersecurity operations
- Strong organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience creating and maintaining technical documentation.
- Ability to coordinate cross-functional technical teams and drive project execution.
Preferred Qualifications- Experience with:
- ServiceNow
- Jira
- Confluence
- Visio
- Experience developing architectural diagrams and technical documentation.
- Understanding of:
- Hardware Security Modules (HSMs)
- Cloud Key Management Services (KMS)
- Enterprise change management processes
- Experience working directly within cybersecurity teams or security-focused organizations.
Candidate ProfileSuccessful candidates may come from one of two backgrounds:
- A cybersecurity engineer who has assumed significant project management responsibilities and enjoys coordinating enterprise initiatives.
- A technical project manager with strong cybersecurity, PKI, or cryptography knowledge who can effectively partner with technical teams.
