Job SummaryThe CRO Finance Business Partner serves as the strategic right-hand to the Business Unit Finance VP and a key partner to the CRO and Business Unit President. This role drives financial performance by ensuring accurate revenue forecasting, pipeline evaluation, and executive-level decision support. The position provides financial insights, streamlines processes, and ensures compliance with revenue recognition standards (ASC 606 / IFRS 15), supporting a data-driven and agile approach to revenue growth and business strategy.
Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic Revenue Leadership- Lead revenue forecasting, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and alignment with accounting rules.
- Build and maintain revenue models reflecting operational drivers and contractual terms.
- Provide insights into revenue performance, risks, and opportunities to guide business decisions.
CRO Partnership- Serve as trusted finance partner to the CRO on revenue, bookings, sales costs, and strategic initiatives.
- Deliver financial reporting, KPI analysis, and actionable recommendations to senior leadership.
- Collaborate with Sales, Sales Operations, and Product teams to evaluate pipeline health and revenue recognition impacts.
Revenue Accounting & Governance- Ensure compliance with revenue recognition standards (ASC 606 / IFRS 15).
- Maintain strong controls and governance around revenue processes and approvals.
- Support audit readiness and integrity of revenue reporting.
Leadership, Communication & Execution- Communicate complex financial concepts clearly to executives.
- Prioritize and manage multiple high-impact deliverables.
- Lead and mentor junior team members, fostering collaboration and accountability.
- Represent Finance in cross-functional forums to embed financial considerations into strategic discussions.
Finance Operational Efficiencies- Automate routine finance tasks such as reporting, reconciliations, and data validation.
- Leverage AI-driven forecasting tools for improved accuracy and agility.
Qualifications- 10+ years in finance business partnering or FP&A, supporting revenue and commercial functions.
- Strong expertise in revenue accounting, forecasting, and pipeline analysis.
- Experience influencing senior business leaders and driving strategic outcomes.
- Proficiency with financial systems and planning tools (e.g., Anaplan, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Familiarity with AI-driven finance applications and automation tools preferred.
- Experience in complex, matrixed, global organizations.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and project leadership skills.
