Practice in a 12-bed Medical/Surgical ICU caring for critically ill medical and surgical patients while enjoying a high degree of clinical autonomy, strong physician collaboration, and the support of MedStar Health's nationally recognized healthcare system.
** This position includes a competitive base salary, nocturnist differential, annual incentive, and sign-on bonus! **Position Highlights- 12-bed mixed Medical/Surgical Intensive Care Unit
- 574 annual ICU admissions
- 5,554 annual inpatient admissions
- Nocturnist
- Typical daily ICU census of 8-10 patients managed by a three-provider team
- Collaborative team of 5 physicians and 5 APPs supporting ICU coverage
- Care for critically ill medical and surgical patients
- Lead Code Blue responses and participate in Rapid Response Team activations
- Evaluate and manage unstable patients throughout the hospital who may require ICU-level care
- Perform procedures and practice with a high degree of clinical autonomy within a collaborative team environment

Qualifications- Graduate of an accredited Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (AGACNP) or Physician Assistant program\
- Current AGACNP or NCCPA certification
- Current BLS and ACLS certification
- At least 1 year of acute care APP experience required
