What You Will Do

Ascension St. Vincent is a leading tertiary referral center and home to one of the Midwest's most advanced heart failure and transplant programs. This is an exceptional opportunity for a motivated cardiologist or intensivist to join an employed position within a busy, well-respected practice, supported by a strong referral base and the full resources of a robust health system network.

  • Employed position within a nonprofit health system
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Critical Care or Cardiology
  • Eligible for state medical licensure and DEA registration
  • Deliver High-Quality Patient Care: Provide comprehensive medical services to patients within your assigned clinical area, ensuring a patient-centered approach and adherence to safety standards.
  • Expert Clinical Assessment: Conduct thorough physical examinations and clinical evaluations to accurately diagnose a wide range of medical conditions
  • 30 heart transplants annually
  • 80 durable LVAD implants per year
  • Expanding ECMO program
  • Full spectrum of temporary mechanical circulatory support (Impella, Centrimag, IABP, etc.)
  • Implementation of a formal shock program
  • Pulmonary hypertension care integrated with advanced therapies
  • Robust clinical research programs in advanced heart failure, pulmonary hypertension and critical care
  • Malpractice coverage with tail


About the Facility
  • 840 bed hospital
  • Level 1 Trauma Center
  • Serves diverse, statewide population primarily focusing on Marion County while acting as a referral center for all 92 Indiana counties.

What You Will Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:
  • Physician MD/DO credentialed from the Indiana Medical Licensing Board obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
  • Advanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

Education:
  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) required.
