Description
Trial Experience Preferred
We're a Los Angeles criminal defense firm handling a mix of misdemeanor and felony matters across Southern California Courts. We're hiring a Spanish-speaking attorney with 3-5 years of criminal defense experience and real courtroom time to take on a caseload with meaningful autonomy and grow into a senior role on our team.
Responsibilities
• You'll manage your own caseload from intake through resolution, with paralegal support.
• You'll appear in court regularly-arraignments, prelims, motions, and trials-and you'll lead or co-lead trials based on your experience level.
• You'll draft your own motions, develop case strategy directly with firm leadership, and communicate with clients in English and Spanish.
Qualifications
• Active California Bar license in good standing.
• 3-5 years of criminal defense experience.
• Professional fluency in Spanish (spoken and written)-you can interview a client, explain a plea, and handle witness prep in Spanish.
• Demonstrated trial experience-you've taken cases to verdict, first or second chair.
• Comfortable managing a caseload independently while knowing when to ask for backup.
• Strong written and oral advocacy.
