Full Job Description
Commercial Special Assets Credit Analyst

The Commercial Special Assets Department Credit Analyst supports Commercial Special Assets Lending Officers with the management of a portfolio of adversely rated, criticized, classified, and other high-risk commercial loans managed by the Commercial Special Assets Department.
  • Responsible for analyzing borrower and guarantor financial information, assisting with credit risk assessments, supporting asset resolution strategies, and preparing periodic departmental reporting.
  • A working knowledge of both Commercial Real Estate (CRE) and Commercial & Industrial (C&I) credits, strong analytical and organizational skills, and the ability to manage a blend of credit, operational, reporting, research, and administrative responsibilities.
  • Review and analyze financial statements, tax returns, rent rolls, borrowing base reports, appraisals, aging reports, and other credit-related documentation while identifying key credit issues, emerging risks, and trends within the portfolio and communicate findings to Special Assets Lending Officers and Senior Management.
  • Complete research requests related to borrowers, guarantors, affiliates, and collateral - tasks will include gathering and summarizing information from public records, internal systems, and third-party sources regarding litigation, bankruptcies, judgments, liens/UCC filings, real estate ownership, business entity records, collateral positions, other relevant financial or legal matters.
  • Provide administrative support to the department including: taking and distributing meeting minutes, data entry for departmental reports and tracking logs, preparing and mailing letters or other correspondence, maintaining electronic and physical credit files, monitoring follow-up items and due dates, Assist with departmental workflow coordination and ensure records are complete and properly maintained.
  • Contacting bank customers to gather information and/or follow-up on requested items and required financial reporting necessary for exception management.

Position Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree is required with preference to Accounting, Finance, Business or Economics
  • Professional experience with a financial institution in a similar role for at least 5 years. Experience with both income-producing real estate credits and operating company/business lending structures.
  • Experience with completing spreads and written credit analysis reports on borrowers and guarantors.
  • A solid understanding of Financial Statements and Tax Returns, including General Accepted Accounting Practices.
  • Computer: Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and Word. Experience with any of the following a bonus: Moody's Risk Analyst, Fidelity Information Services' IBS Insight, Hyland Software's OnBase and Metavante's BankerInsight
  • To be considered must reside in Oklahoma City or Plano
