Counter-Countermeasure and Threat Discrimination Program Engineer

Contingent upon prime contractor approval

Purpose:
  • Valkyrie Enterprises has need for a Counter-Countermeasure and Threat Discrimination Program Engineer in Huntsville, AL
  • In this role you will provide systems analysis expertise to develop new Missile Defense System capabilities to identify lethal objects

Job Description:
  • Work within a multi-discipline, multi-source/industry team
  • Provide technical analysis, management, and general scientific support to MDA's Counter- Countermeasures and Discrimination Directorate
  • Develop and formulate options for improving the Missile Defense System's discrimination and electronic protection capabilities

Qualifications:
  • Must have a Master's Degree in a STEM field with at least 12 years of experience.
  • Must have expertise in radar signal processing, scheduling, and object classification.
  • Must have expertise in electronic protection.
  • Must have systems engineering analysis and process management to include development and review of engineering requirements, concepts of operations, and integrated schedules.
  • Must have prior experience in technical performance assessments, risk analysis, and mitigation development.
  • Must have expertise in Electronic Attack/Protection modeling development to support analysis and requirements development.
  • Must have experience in developing technology maturation plans to transfer potential technologies to program offices.

Desired Qualifications:
  • Active Top Secret/SCI clearance, preferred.
  • Knowledge of MDA systems engineering processes, preferred.
  • Knowledge of Missile Defense fundamentals to include radar limitations, preferred.
  • Knowledge of electro-optic fundamentals, preferred.
  • Knowledge of radar hardware and design, preferred.

Security Requirements:
  • Must have an Active Secret clearance and the ability to qualify for a TS/SCI clearance.

Travel Requirements:
  • Minimal Travel; 10% or less
  • If position requires travel by domestic flight or access to secure federal facilities/military bases, candidate must be able to obtain (by start of position) and maintain appropriate identification credentials, such as REAL ID. Physical Requirements:
  • Remaining in a stationary position, often standing, or sitting for prolonged periods
  • Able to sit and work on a computer for long periods of time
  • Moving about to accomplish tasks or moving from one worksite to another

  • Light work that includes moving objects up to 20 pounds
