Description

We are currently looking for a Cost Estimation Lead/ Quantity Surveyor Lead to join our team on a Major Infrastructure Project in Vancouver, Canada (on-site position).

-Project:Infrastructure Project (Design Phase)

-Estimated duration of the position: 2 years- In general, when the project ends, we try to place the employee in other projects to give him/her continuity.

-Main Responsibilities:

  • Lead the full cost estimation process for major transit or system-integration projects, ensuring accuracy and compliance with industry standards.
  • Develop Class B estimates following established industry guidelines and methodologies.
  • Apply cost-estimating expertise specific to system transit projects, including site logistics, staging, crew assemblies, and productivity assumptions.
  • Provide cost insights and support during all project phases (development, design advancement, and delivery).
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure cost estimates align with project scope, schedule, and risk considerations.
  • Utilize professional quantity surveying principles; PQS certification or equivalent is required.


-Working hours:Monday to Friday- 40 hours weekly.

-Requirements:

  • A minimum of 8 years of experience as a Cost Estimator Engineer, including 5 years in leading the complete estimate role on major transit/ system-integration projects or heavy civil construction projects.
  • Experience with developing a Class B estimate according to industry guidelines.
  • Experience in system transit project cost estimating is an asset to understand project site logistics, staging, crew assemblies and productivity estimate assumptions
  • Certifications: the ideal candidate should hold a Professional Quantity Surveyor (PQS) Certification or equivalent
