Job Summary:The Project Controls Analyst - Cost will support the T&D team to provide effective integrated project cost monitoring, tracking, budget variance, forecasting, project scheduling of key milestones, and provide cost. The successful candidate will achieve the desired results of the T&D organization through the strict adherence of the T&D Process and Procedures, PSEGLI Standards and the use of PSEGLI Values and Behavioral Standards, sound management practice, skills and a total commitment to teamwork.
Job Responsibilities:- Prepare, maintain & submit monthly P&C budget variance analyses and forecasts.
- Develop project plans & specific cash flows based on work scope.
- Coordinate & maintain monthly cost data & reports in Excel and/or Project Tracking System (PTS)
- Update project forecasts or other requested project financial/status reports.
- Prepare Utility Review Board (URB) Documentation (PCRs, PP slides, waterfalls, etc) for project cash flow approvals.
- Provide monthly closeout of projects
- Provide monthly updates to New Equipment Database Long Island (NEDLl.)
- Provide monthly updates to the Construction Work in Progress (CWIP) aging reports to meet department and corporate deliverables and deadlines.
- Update project forecasts or other requested project financial/status reports
- Provide storm restoration support as required by the Emergency Restoration Organization
Job Specific Qualifications:- Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Engineering, Accounting, Business, Finance, or Construction and a minimum of 2 years of experience performing analysis, preferably in finance or utility construction.
- Experience with relevant software such as Microsoft Office products and possess the ability to quickly learn new systems and applications.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills are necessary to effectively interface and communicate with people at all levels and across organizations.
- Demonstrated personal accountability and excellent organizational skills to deliver performance excellence.
- Possess and maintain a valid U.S. driver's license with a safe and satisfactory driving history.
- Department of Energy's regulation 10 CFR 810 is required.
Desired:- Experience in reading, interpreting, and managing project and program schedules
- Basic knowledge and experience with electric transmission and distribution systems
- Knowledge of LIPA's (Long Island Power Authority) business operations, policies, and practices
SAP experience
