Position Overview:
The Cost Accountant ensures the integrity of cost accounting information by planning, studding and collecting manufacturing data to determine activity such as raw material purchases, inventory and labor.

Salary Range: $88,000-$92,000K
Responsibilities
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Improve manufacturing costs and pricing processes, procedures and standards
- Analyze and develop cost standards for materials and labor
- Analyze manufacturing wastes and identify ways to reduce inventory and proactively communicate the findings to Management
- Analyze inventory valuations & revenue recognition in accordance with GAAP and IFRS
- Support the Revit transition and coordinates interaction between finance and manufacturing
- Scrutinize manufacturing cost variances & optimize profitability
- Develops and maintains timely and accurate financial statements and reports in accordance with GAAP
- Assists with monthly closing process; posting journal entries and conducting reconciliations
- Review monthly results and implement monthly variance reporting
- Investigate, propose and spear head process improvements relating to manufacturing expenses
- Participate and provide a support in internal / external auditing and other activities as requested
Qualifications
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance or equivalent experience
- 3-5 years of Cost Accounting experience in a public or private company
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Requirements:
- Knowledge of ERP system SAP for manufacutring / accounting software and programs
- In-depth knowledge of SAP Finance/Controlling (FI/CO) modules including;MM, EWM, SD, PS, MM, PP etc.
- Highly detail-oriented and organized
- Ability to multi-task while maintaining attention to detail and deadlines
- Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively with different levels of employees
- Strong communication, analytical and problem-solving skills
