Full Job Description
The Correspondence Analyst will support the Leidos National Airspace System (NAS) Implementation Support Contract (NISC IV) for the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Administrative Operations and Executive Secretariat, Office of the Administrator. This position plays a key role in managing, editing, and distributing executive correspondence, including congressional reports, inquiries, memoranda, and other strategic communications.

Primary Responsibilities

The ideal candidate is proactive, diplomatic, and collaborative, with strong attention to detail and the ability to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders.

Key responsibilities include:
• Provide direct support to the FAA Administrative Operations and Executive Secretariat management team and staff.
• Research, proofread, edit, write, process, revise, format, perform quality checks, and coordinate the development of written and digital products across multiple platforms. Materials may vary widely in format, style, and technical complexity.
• Review and edit documents for accuracy, consistency, readability, and accessibility, ensuring compliance with editorial standards and government requirements.
• Support consistency and standardization across project documentation and contribute to continuous improvements in documentation processes.
• Develop methods to efficiently manage correspondence within a complex organization, ensuring tailored and accurate responses to inquiries.
• Manage the release of complex correspondence and communications with organization-wide impact.
• Work independently on assignments involving program and process issues, contributing directly to operational outcomes and project deliverables.
• Capture proceedings, decisions, and action items to produce polished executive-level meeting records.
• Compile and synthesize data from various sources into meaningful reports and documents for senior decision-makers.
• Analyze ambiguous issues and develop solutions using domain knowledge and thorough research.

Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree and 8-12 years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree with 6-10 years of experience. Equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Demonstrated excellence in writing and editing a variety of communications, including articles, web content, communication plans, and marketing materials.
  • Strong command of grammar, spelling, punctuation, and clarity of expression; experience reviewing both technical and non-technical materials.
  • Significant experience using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Must be a U.S. citizen and able to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance within the first year (current clearance preferred).


Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of FAA organizational structure, codes, and government correspondence processes; familiarity with FAA Electronic Document Management Systems (EDMS).
  • Experience preparing and drafting correspondence and providing related support services.
  • Experience interacting with senior government officials, engaging with program managers, and supporting Executive Secretariat activities.
  • Familiarity with the Government Printing Office (GPO) Style Manual.

Pay Range:
Pay Range $65,650.00 - $118,675.00
