Position Overview
We are seeking a senior-level Windows and Digital Workspace Engineer to help design, modernize, and operate enterprise Windows platforms and digital workspace services that deliver secure, scalable, and high-performing user experiences. This role will place strong emphasis on senior Windows engineering skills, including Windows 11 architecture, endpoint configuration, image engineering, policy management, application compatibility, security hardening, lifecycle management, and large-scale enterprise deployment practices, while also supporting Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD), Windows 365 Cloud PC, automation, and persona-based workspace tooling. The ideal candidate will bring deep technical expertise across Microsoft end-user computing, Windows endpoint engineering, cloud-hosted virtual desktop platforms, profile and persona management, application delivery, and operational automation.
This engineer will partner closely with infrastructure, security, endpoint management, application, and operations teams to engineer reliable Windows desktop standards, modern endpoint configurations, secure baseline policies, and digital workspace services that align with business needs while improving reliability, manageability, performance, and end-user productivity. The role requires a strong senior Windows engineering mindset, hands-on experience with enterprise Windows platforms, cloud and virtualization technologies, and the ability to automate repeatable processes that reduce operational overhead and improve service quality.
What You'll Do:
• Digital Workspace Engineering: Design, engineer, and support enterprise digital workspace solutions that provide secure and reliable access to applications, desktops, data, and collaboration tools across physical, virtual, and cloud-hosted environments.
• Senior Windows Engineering: Lead engineering efforts for enterprise Windows 11 platforms, including strong Autopilot image design, build standards, device configuration, Group Policy and Intune policy management, Windows security baselines, driver and firmware coordination, patching strategy, lifecycle management, troubleshooting, and
performance optimization across physical, virtual, and cloud-hosted desktop environments.
• Azure VMware Solution Engineering: Engineer and optimize Azure VMware Solution environments supporting enterprise virtual desktop and application workloads, including capacity planning, migration support, operational readiness, performance tuning, and integration with Azure networking, identity, monitoring, and security services.
• Azure Virtual Desktop, Windows 365 & Windows Platform Integration: Windows 365 Cloud PC environments, ensuring they align with enterprise Windows engineering standards, secure configuration baselines, application compatibility requirements, endpoint management policies, and workload-specific user needs.
• Persona-Based Workspace Delivery: Develop and maintain persona-driven workspace models that align technology configurations, desktop experiences, application access, performance profiles, and security controls to the needs of different business and technical user groups.
• Automation & Platform Efficiency: Create and maintain automation using PowerShell, infrastructure-as-code, APIs, and workflow tools to streamline provisioning, image lifecycle management, application delivery, policy configuration, monitoring, reporting, and operational support.
• Application, Profile & User Experience Optimization: Engineer solutions for application integration, profile management, FSLogix, identity-based access, endpoint configuration, Windows performance tuning, logon optimization, application compatibility, and user experience consistency across AVD, Windows 365, AVS-hosted workloads, enterprise Windows endpoints, and related workspace platforms.
• Governance, Security & Operational Excellence: Establish engineering standards, documentation, monitoring practices, security baselines, compliance controls, and operational processes that ensure digital workspace platforms are resilient, supportable, cost-aware, and aligned with enterprise architecture standards.
What You'll Bring:
• 7+ years of experience in senior Windows engineering, enterprise endpoint engineering, virtualization, EUC, VDI, or digital workspace engineering roles.
• Deep hands-on expertise with Windows 11 engineering, including image creation and maintenance, Windows Autopilot, Intune, Group Policy, security baselines, patching, driver management, application compatibility, troubleshooting, and endpoint lifecycle management.
• Hands-on experience and supporting Windows 365 Cloud PC services.
• Strong understanding of Microsoft digital workspace and Windows platform technologies including Azure, Entra ID, Intune, Windows 11, Windows Autopilot, FSLogix, Microsoft 365, image management, application packaging, endpoint configuration, policy management, and enterprise security controls.
• Advanced scripting and automation skills using PowerShell, Terraform, ARM/Bicep, APIs, or similar automation and infrastructure-as-code tooling.
• Experience defining persona-based workspace models, user experience standards, desktop performance requirements, and operational processes for large-scale enterprise user populations.
• Excellent communication, documentation, troubleshooting, and cross-functional collaboration skills with the ability to translate business needs into practical engineering solutions.

Pay Transparency
Salary Range: $147,500-$211,000
Overtime eligible: Exempt

Actual base salary will be determined based on several factors but not limited to individual's experience, skills, qualifications, and job location. Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. In addition to base salary, employees may also be eligible to participate in an incentive program.
