Full Job Description
UWM is seeking a qualified attorney to support the company with title examination and other title related matters. This is a remote role covering the state of Florida. This is a remote role covering the state of Florida. Candidate must be licensed in Florida. This role requires two weeks of training in Michigan.

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU

Must Have Qualifications:
• Admission to the Florida state Bar
• Bachelors and J.D.
• 3+ years of in-depth experience with title examination and review
• Possess a thorough understanding of the title process
• Have a commitment to continuous business improvement
• Be capable of working closely with internal clients and meeting internal SLAs
• Have effective planning, organizational and project management skills
• Be able to manage multiple projects and tasks effectively
• Have a high level of attention to detail and accuracy
• Have excellent written and communication skills
• Have the ability to work independently
• Have critical thinking, analytical and problem solving skills
• Be self-motivated and able to work well in a team based environment

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
• Examining public record, abstracts of title, leases, contracts and other legal documents to determine land ownership and lien position of residential property
• Drafting legal documents regarding property ownership and opinions on title
• Interpreting and providing advice on title related issues
• Reviewing and assisting with title claims
• Researching deed, filing, and other title related legal requirements
• Communicating with title companies regarding processing and procedural issues
• Ensuring compliance with UWM policies and procedures
• Editing legal documents for accuracy
• Providing support and assistance to members of the Legal team
