THE STRATEGY FUNCTION AT TE CONNECTIVITY

THE AEROSPACE, DEFENSE AND MARINE (ADM) BUSINESS UNIT

TE operates through two customer facing Segments: Industrial Solutions and Transportation Solutions

Part of the Industrial Solutions Segment, the Aerospace, Defense and Marine (ADM) Business Unit designs, develops, and manufactures a comprehensive portfolio of critical electronic components and systems for the harsh operating conditions of the commercial aerospace, defense, and marine industries. Our products and systems are designed and manufactured to operate effectively in harsh conditions ranging from the depths of the ocean to the far reaches of space. AD&M's products play a crucial role in airplanes, satellites, ships, and in high-growth new technologies areas such as EVTOL (electric vertical take-off and landing) aircrafts.

AD&M achieved US$1.5B in net sales and 10% net sales growth in Fiscal Year 2025.

TRAVEL EXPECTATIONS

Business travel (to meet colleagues and clients, attend industry events, etc) is expected to be less than 20% of the time.

Job Requirements

As a member of the ADM Business Unit, you will contribute to global portfolio decisions and support the BU in developing strategies that drive above-market organic and inorganic growth, managing projects to help identify new growth platforms / opportunities in attractive market spaces, and working closely with leadership to prioritize both cross-functional involvement and real-time input as the external environment (e.g., technology, customer needs, regulations, competitors, etc.) evolves.

The candidate will have the following primary responsibilities:
  • Support the BU's "where to play" and "how to win" decisions by building the fact base, market insights, and data-driven inputs that inform growth, profitability, and competitive-advantage choices
  • Enable cross-functional problem-solving using a hypothesis-driven approach:
    • Execute defined workstreams, running the analysis and building the underlying models and data sets
    • Structure problems and test assumptions with data
    • Develop high-quality deliverables and support executive presentations
    • Synthesize findings into clear, well-evidenced insights and draft recommendations
    • Analyze organic, partnership, and inorganic opportunities across multiple dimensions
  • Support the strategic planning process with analysis, materials, and inputs that strengthen the organization's strategic fact base
    • Lead primary and secondary research to identify and assess inorganic and partnership opportunities
  • Market research & modelling - Analyze the strategic and economic impact of market trends over a 5-10 year horizon
  • Prepare analysis that helps leadership evaluate opportunities and acquisition targets to strengthen the portfolio and go-to-market capabilities

Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree required, preferably in a technical discipline (Engineering, Quantitative, Finance) from a leading institution
  • MBA, CFA, or another advanced degree from a top program is preferred
  • 5+ years of overall experience for candidates with a bachelor's degree, or 3+ years for candidates with an MBA, CFA, or another advanced degree; relevant experience include management consulting, investment banking, corporate strategy, market research
  • International experience or exposure is a plus
  • Experience creating executive-quality presentations and communicating complex ideas and plans
  • Excellent with MS-Excel and MS-PPT; proficiency in data analytics suite (Tableau, Alteryx, SQL) is a plus
  • Track record of demonstrated leadership potential through academics, work, and/or community activities
  • Strong sense of tact, confidentiality, and maturity

COMPENSATION
• Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $109,600 - $164,300 (subject to change dependent on physical location)
• Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
• Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
