Corporate Quality Engineer

Position Overview

Position Objective

The Corporate Quality Engineer - Residential Soft Surfaces supports leading quality operations and compliance activities that support customer satisfaction and risk mitigation across residential soft surface manufacturing. This role is responsible for quality inspections, audits, standards, and regulatory execution across multiple facilities while providing leadership to team members and partnering with cross-functional stakeholders to resolve quality and service issues.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead, train, and direct assigned quality team members, providing day-to-day leadership and performance feedback.
  • Manage inspection processes for residential and commercial replacement orders, including double-inspection customers.
  • Research and inspect finished inventory related to residential quality claims.
  • Lead finished-roll audits and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
  • Ensure compliance with ASTM, FHA, Federal, and Department of Commerce regulations.
  • Coordinate SMS, supplier, and corporate quality audits.
  • Manage standards inventory, including residential soft surfaces and pre-dyed yarn standards.
  • Serve as liaison between Manufacturing, Distribution, Customer Service, and Financial Services.
  • Support executive audit processes and shade/testing sample coordination.


Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree or 4+ years of experience in Quality
  • Understanding of computer software such as Microsoft Excel, Word, Minitab, Google, etc.
  • Ability to present information in professional and user-friendly presentations.
  • Strong quantitative & communication skills (Oral, written, & presentation to individuals & groups)
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and work without close Supervision.
