CORPORATE PLANNING & MANAGEMENT

Corporate Planning & Management (CPM) is a central strategic function at Goldman Sachs, responsible for driving firmwide operational excellence, business planning, and the infrastructure that enables the firm to operate with strength, resiliency, and agility. CPM partners across every division to deliver scalable solutions, optimize business processes, and position the firm for sustainable growth. The CPM Division unifies Finance & Planning, Spend Management, Operational Risk and Resilience, and CPM Engineering teams to deliver business planning and analytics, expense management, third-party risk management, and governance strategies across the firm. Within Spend Management, the Source to Pay function encompasses Strategic Sourcing, Procure to Pay, Integrated Travel and Expense, Infrastructure and Transformation, and Sustainable Operations - managing all aspects of the firm's spend with third parties, advising on commercial agreements, and driving operating efficiency.

SOURCE TO PAY -PRODUCT MANAGEMENT

Within CPM, the Source to Pay function oversees the end-to-end lifecycle of procurement and payables - from sourcing and vendor management through purchasing, invoicing, and payment. The Global Procurement team is focused on optimizing the procurement experience for internal firmwide stakeholders, Goldman Sachs suppliers, and Global Procurement operations teams - driving customer experience excellence, enabling frictionless interactions across the procurement lifecycle, and delivering scalable solutions anchored in the SAP Ariba platform ecosystem.

YOUR IMPACT

Professionals in CPM have an analytical mindset, exhibit intellectual curiosity, and come from diverse academic backgrounds. The ideal candidate brings solid experience in product management and a growing understanding of procurement business processes and customer experience design - with hands-on familiarity with SAP Ariba or comparable Source to Pay platforms. The role requires regular collaboration across functions, the ability to work independently, and comfort interacting with senior professionals across the firm.

HOW YOU WILL FULFILL YOUR POTENTIAL
  1. Global Procurement Product Support: Support the product lifecycle for Global Procurement platform products - contributing to discovery, requirements definition, delivery, and ongoing optimization under the guidance of senior product leaders.
  2. Customer Experience Design: Champion a customer-first philosophy across all Global Procurement touchpoints. Improve the end-to-end procurement journey for internal business users - from purchase request through approval, ordering, receipt, and invoice reconciliation. Enhance the supplier-facing experience across onboarding, catalog management, purchase order acknowledgment, invoice submission, and payment visibility. Partner with Global Procurement operations to identify workflow inefficiencies and translate pain points into product improvements. Define and track customer experience KPIs including cycle times, onboarding completion rates, and exception rates.
  3. SAP Ariba Platform Expertise: Serve as a subject matter contributor on SAP Ariba across the Source to Pay spectrum - supporting Ariba Sourcing, Buying and Invoicing, Supplier Lifecycle and Performance, and Ariba Network. Drive enhancements to guided buying, catalog management, requisition and order workflows, and invoice processing. Support integration of SAP Ariba with adjacent systems including SAP S/4HANA and SAP Fieldglass. Partner with engineering teams to define configuration requirements, manage enhancements, and coordinate release cycles.
  4. Requirements Definition & Documentation: Define functional and non-functional requirements for new features and work with Engineering and Strategic Delivery Partners to ensure alignment with business objectives. Create detailed documentation including business process flows, user stories, and use cases.
  5. AI & Automation Contribution: Champion the use of AI tools, machine learning, and intelligent automation to streamline procurement processes - including guided buying recommendations, automated approval routing, anomaly detection, and predictive analytics. Partner with engineering teams deploying AI-powered capabilities.
  6. Stakeholder Facilitation & Alignment: Facilitate workshops, journey mapping sessions, and product demonstrations to align stakeholders and gather feedback. Act as a liaison between business users, suppliers, operations, and Engineering to ensure successful adoption of procurement solutions.
  7. Testing & Quality Assurance: Lead creation of test plans, test cases, and test scripts. Coordinate end-to-end system testing including UAT. Track and manage defects and deliver status reporting to project stakeholders. Support post-go-live validations.
  8. Value-Driven Prioritization: Contribute to defining and maintaining a product backlog and roadmap prioritized by business value and customer experience impact. Balance near-term operational needs with long-term strategic goals.
  9. Metrics & Performance Management: Define, track, and report on KPIs measuring product success, user adoption, process efficiency, and business impact - including requisition cycle time, guided buying adoption, supplier onboarding rates, and spend under management.
  10. Agile Delivery: Actively participate in agile development - writing user stories and acceptance criteria, grooming backlogs, and ensuring high-quality, timely delivery of features and functionality.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  2. Hands-on experience with SAP Ariba or comparable Source to Pay platforms (e.g., Coupa, Jaggaer, Oracle Procurement Cloud).
  3. Demonstrated experience working within complex technical ecosystems including enterprise platforms and vendor integrations.
  4. Proven focus on customer experience design - including journey mapping, user research, and experience measurement - in an enterprise context.
  5. Strong analytical skills and ability to summarize and present information at a management level.
  6. Clear and effective communication skills verbally and in writing. Experience in a global organization preferred.
  7. Knowledge of Agile methodologies and platforms like JIRA and Confluence or similar.
