Job Responsibilities- Collaborate with project engineers on equipment design, layout design and piping design
- Develop conceptual and detailed designs, including material handling equipment, plant layouts and piping layout, while incorporating engineering changes into existing designs
- Generate and update detailed engineering documents by using Autodesk Inventor and other 2D and 3D tools for part drawings, assembly drawings, layout drawings, bill of material and equipment manuals
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously and ensure adherence to project schedules
- Any other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications- Minimum 5 years of engineering experience in mechanical equipment design and drawing preparation.
- University/College degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
- Proficient in 2D drafting and 3D modeling using AutoCAD and Inventor
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD Plant 3D - Navisworks and Autodesk Vault is an asset
- Experience in material handling or heavy machinery design is an asset.
- Knowledge of piping design standards, P&ID and experience in piping layout design is an asset.
- Ability to function and complete tasks independently
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy, with excellent drafting technique and practice, including GD&T
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
