Overview
As Director of Sales, you will oversee sales leadership for a diverse portfolio of resorts and hotels, setting the vision and driving performance across group, corporate, and sports segments. This role focuses on growing revenue through strategic planning, team development, and cross-brand collaboration to ensure consistent results across multiple properties. This position is on-site in the Myrtle Beach area.
Responsibilities
Director of Sales responsibilities include, but are not limited to:- Hire, train, and lead a high-performing sales team across multiple hotel properties, providing coaching, setting clear goals, and conducting performance reviews
- Foster a culture centered on accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement
- Develop and implement a city-wide sales strategy aligned with brand standards, revenue goals, and evolving market trends
- Identify and pursue high-potential market opportunities, strategically allocating team resources across the portfolio
- Ensure consistent execution of sales processes and CRM usage across all locations, with accurate documentation of client communications and activities
- Drive group, corporate, and local negotiated business to meet room night and revenue targets through strategic pricing, segmentation, and mix optimization in partnership with revenue management
- Analyze sales data, booking trends, and pacing reports to proactively adjust tactics and improve performance
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with top clients, local CVBs, and key industry partners
- Represent the hotel collection at tradeshows, client events, and networking functions to increase visibility and opportunity
- Serve as the primary escalation point for complex client needs, ensuring resolution and service excellence
- Collaborate with property General Managers to align sales efforts with operational capabilities and support city-wide initiatives, including cross-selling between hotels
- Prepare and maintain sales forecasts, reporting dashboards, and departmental budgets, tracking ROI on key initiatives

Qualifications
What are we looking for?- Bachelor's degree in Hospitality, Business, or related field
- Minimum 7 years of progressive hotel sales experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role
- Proven success leading multi-property sales efforts and managing diverse sales teams
- Strong grasp of revenue management principles, sales technologies, and industry best practices
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to travel locally between hotel sites and industry events as needed
- Experience across multiple hotel segments such as full-service, select-service, or extended stay (preferred)
- Familiarity with sales tools such as Delphi, Cvent, Lanyon, Salesforce, or equivalent platforms (preferred)
- Established relationships with key accounts in the local market (preferred)
