Job DescriptionAbout the RoleAs a Corporate Development Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping strategic growth initiatives through mergers, acquisitions, and partnerships-particularly within the Healthcare IT and Pharmacy Technology sectors. Operating as an individual contributor at the manager level, you'll bring 5-6 years of corporate development experience, ideally with a background in investment banking focused on technology-driven healthcare solutions. You'll be part of a lean, high-impact team, where your ability to assess opportunities, model scenarios, and influence outcomes will directly impact the company's long-term trajectory.
This role is ideal for someone who not only evaluates deals, but also proactively sources and originates them. You'll build market theses, cultivate external relationships, and independently drive transactions.
Key Responsibilities - Lead deal sourcing, evaluation, and execution for M&A and strategic investment opportunities.
- Proactively identify, contact, and build relationships with founders, bankers, investors, and strategic partners to generate actionable opportunities.
- Conduct market and competitive analyses to identify trends and targets in Healthcare IT and Pharmacy Technology.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with finance, legal, and business unit leaders to drive due diligence and integration planning.
- Apply working knowledge of AI tools and analytics to enhance deal modeling, risk assessment, and post-merger performance tracking.
- Represent the company in external conversations with potential targets, bankers, investors, and advisors.
Qualifications - 5-6 years of experience in corporate development or investment banking in the Healthcare space.
- Track record of sourcing or originating M&A and/or strategic investment opportunities.
- Strong proficiency in Healthcare IT or Pharmacy Technology verticals.
- Strong financial modeling, valuation, and strategic analysis skills.
- Familiarity with AI applications in M&A workflows.
Preferred Skills - Experience working in a small, agile corporate development or M&A investment banking team.
- Familiarity with GenAI and proficiency with AI productivity tools.
- Existing network across healthcare IT, Pharmacy Technology, or healthcare investors.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, or related field.
- MBA or advanced degree in a relevant field.
90-Day Success Profile - Build trust across the corporate development team and key internal stakeholders.
- Deliver a landscape analysis of top 3 priority segments in Healthcare IT and Pharmacy Technology, along with a refreshed deal pipeline.
- Establish early external relationships with at least 10 bankers, founders, or investors.
- Lead initial evaluation of at least one strategic opportunity, demonstrating sound judgment and data-driven insights.
- Present a roadmap for integrating AI tools into the team's deal evaluation process.
