Responsibilities

  • Develop acquisition theses and perform market analyses for specific targets
  • Lead business case development, financial modeling, and valuation/structuring for potential acquisitions
  • Drive deal execution, including negotiations, due diligence, and integration planning
  • Lead reporting efforts for the Board of Directors and investor communications
  • Engage with investors and manage materials for Board meetings and updates

Full Job Description
Superhuman offers a dynamic hybrid model, and candidates in this role can be based remotely. You may be expected to travel to meet in person during your team's scheduled collaboration weeks. Managers will determine in-person time according to business needs.

The Opportunity

M&A is a big part of Superhuman's growth strategy - and this job is all about being at the center of the action! This high-visibility, high-impact role sits at the intersection of M&A and investor relations within the Superhuman Finance org, partnering with the executive team to formulate and execute our M&A strategy, build and maintain relationships with investors, and ensure an optimal capital structure.

Here are more specific responsibilities:
  • Build relationships with founders, executives, investors, and advisors that align with our M&A priorities and inform future ones.
  • Develop acquisition theses and corresponding market analyses for specific acquisition priorities. Build relationships with relevant companies, investors, and other stakeholders.
  • Lead business case development for potential acquisitions, owning the financial model and leading valuation/structuring.
  • Drive deal execution - including LOI / definitive agreement negotiation, due diligence, and integration planning - in concert with other stakeholders. Partner with Strategy & Operations and key functional leaders to stand up integration governance.
  • Play the leadership role in quarterly and ad hoc BOD and investor reporting.
  • Drive investor engagement, including owning materials for BOD meetings and investor updates.
  • Forge strong cross-functional partnerships across Superhuman to source and align on strategic priorities and reinforce Corp Dev + IR trusted advisor brand.


Qualifications
  • Transactional experience both in-house (e.g. Corporate Development) and in an advisory capacity (e.g. investment banking, consulting, and/or investing)
  • A track record of experience in building relationships with founders / executives and investors. Extra points if you already have an established network
  • A strong analytical foundation combined with an intense intellectual curiosity related to technology (especially AI), business strategy, and finance
  • Experience leveraging generative AI as a force multiplier for research, analysis, and communication
  • A demonstrated reputation for quality, attention to detail, and initiative
  • A collaboration mindset, the ability to partner and influence effectively across various departments, and a willingness to roll up sleeves to do what needs to be done to make a deal successful
  • Crisp verbal, written, and visual communication skills
  • And please, a sense of humor
  • Has a demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal guidance, proactively manages tasks and priorities across multiple projects, analyzes and executes work efficiently, collaborates effectively with cross-functional teams, and thrives in fast-paced, results-driven environments.

Superhuman takes a market-based approach to compensation, so base pay may vary by location. Our US locations are categorized into two compensation zones based on proximity to our hub locations.

Base pay may vary considerably depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The expected salary ranges for this position are outlined below by compensation zone and may be modified in the future.

United States:

Zone 1: $107,000 - $251,000 (USD)

Zone 2: $97,000 - $226,000 (USD)
