Summary:The Corporate Counsel role provides legal services to MaineHealth members; in particular, reviewing and drafting contracts; providing advice regarding the legal considerations in patient care; providing advice regarding compliance with patient privacy and data security laws and regulations; and interacting with insurers regarding application, coverage, and insurance renewals. Corporate counsel will also perform other assignments made by the General Counsel.
Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)- Education: Graduate from an accredited law school required.
- License/Certifications: Licensed to practice law in the State of Maine required. Maine bar admission required; if transitioning license from another state, Maine bar admission required within 12 months from start date.
- Experience: Five years of experience representing healthcare clients and demonstrating knowledge of health law, commercial contracting, patient privacy laws and other legal topics associated with the representation of health care providers required.

The base range is an estimate and does not reflect the full value of our total compensation package.
The pay range for this position is $166,545.60 to $225,347.20 per year.
Compensation for part-time positions is determined on a prorated basis consistent with the scheduled hours and applicable full-time equivalent (FTE).
