Job Description:Responsibilities- Draft, negotiate, and review of commercial transactions, contracts and agreements; providing counsel regarding interpretation of active contracts, and handling contractual dispute resolution. Significant involvement in contractual matters throughout entire contract lifecycle, from formation to termination, for agreements pertaining to diverse subjects
- Manage multiple contracts and projects in a deadline driven environment
- Work with the legal and risk management department and business leadership to assist/lead on a variety of projects related to process improvements, risk mitigation and legal policy development
- Collaborate with external vendors and legal counsel as necessary
QualificationsThe successful candidate will have:
- Juris Doctorate required
- At least 3 years of experience in a law firm (preferably Am Law 100 firm) or as an in house corporate attorney
- Ability to work effectively within a demanding, deadline-driven environment
- Experience with information privacy laws, HIPPA, PHI, BAA and related agreements and information privacy laws preferred
- Knowledge of employment law a plus
- Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel is required
- Project Management experience preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to work independently or as a member of a team required
- Travel up to 10%
The national pay rate range for this job position is $132,020 to $200,240. Actual compensation is influenced by a variety of relevant factors including but not limited to applicant's skills, prior experience, qualifications, degrees, professional certifications, work arrangements and geographic location. Baker Tilly offers a comprehensive compensation and benefits package to eligible employees.
The pay rate in California is: $134,960-$177,120
