YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES: The responsibilities for this role are below; you may support projects of varying complexity based on skill and organizational priorities.
- Build and understand complex financial models.
- Perform complex financial analysis with minimal oversight.
- Create high-impact presentation materials using PowerPoint, Excel, Word and other relevant presentations to support the effort of the team.
- Work well as part of a team in a high stress environment.
- Develop good working relationships with peers and seniors in Credit, Capital Markets and the rest of the organization.
- Manage priorities while working on a number of high priority opportunities simultaneously.
- Complete basic credit and corporate finance overview and analysis independently.
- Serve as support to the Managing Directors and be capable of making internal and external software programs.
- Provide support to partnering businesses by assessing whether securities products and capital markets services would be appropriate for a particular client and working with business partners to provide those products and services to clients.
- Other Duties: Performing other duties as assigned, adapting to new tasks or shifts in priorities as necessary to support your team's and the company's mission.
REQUIRED SKILLS: Qualified candidates will bring emerging professional proficiency, generally acquired through 0-2 years of relevant work or internship experience in finance, accounting, or a related field.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and trends.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint for financial modeling and presentation development.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex information clearly.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team and independently when needed.
- Ability to obtain and maintain required securities licenses in accordance with company policy.
SKILLS FOR SUCCESS: Successful candidates will demonstrate a higher degree of proficiency across the following areas:
- Financial Modeling: Ability to build and interpret complex financial models to support transaction analysis and client recommendations.
- Due Diligence: Experience conducting credit, accounting, and legal due diligence to assess transaction viability and risk.
- Market Research: Skilled in sourcing and synthesizing market data, economic trends, and comparable transactions to inform strategic decisions.
- Client Communication: Ability to prepare compelling pitch materials and market updates tailored to client needs and business objectives.
- Technology Proficiency: Familiarity with third-party financial platforms and databases (e.g., Bloomberg, Capital IQ) used in investment banking or corporate finance environments.
MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
- Candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for employment-based immigration sponsorship now or in the future
- Graduating Class of 2027
- GPA 3.3 or higher
- Experience or demonstrated interest in Corporate & Investment Banking, Leveraged Finance, and/or Capital Markets a plus.
- Securities Industry Essentials (SIE), Series 79,63 license ( to be obtained immediately after start date).
- Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills required.
- Ability to multi-task, while maintaining attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a time sensitive environment.
- Excellent communication skills, oral and written.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and good team interaction capabilities.
- Strong entrepreneurial spirit.
- Relevant internships and co-op program experience
