Job Description:

Parsons is looking for a talented Program Controls Specialist to join our team! In this role you will join a dedicated team of Program Controls analysts in the Cyber Warfare Program Directorate, owning the planning, tracking, and reporting that keep cost, schedule and performance aligned. Partnering closely with Program Managers and cross-functional teams, you'll transform detailed financial and schedule data into clear, actionable insights that drive timely decisions and course corrections.

What You'll Be Doing:
  • Financial planning and budgeting by developing cost estimates, creating budgets, and maintaining spend plans and Estimate to Completes (ETCs)
  • Cost Control & Tracking through monitoring of project expenses, tracking costs, and financial analysis to ensure projects stay within budget.
  • Forecasting and reporting, generating reports, and preparing financial deliverables.
  • Perform a variety of project control assignments requiring the application of basic cost control techniques and analyses.
  • Assists in developing and implementing cost control support for multiple projects and contract types (such as FFP, CPFF, and T&M)
  • Assist the Program Manager with specialized reports, providing cost report information and analysis, and review of procurement requisitions for funding and cost coding.
  • Work in applications such as with Costpoint, Oracle, CER, TESS and any other project controls-specific tools (such as dashboards) to assist with these efforts.
  • Manage sub-contractor requirements and invoicing cycles.
  • Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.


What Required Skills You'll Bring:
  • 4-year degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, Economics or related field (or equivalent experience) and minimum of 3 - 5 years of related work experience.
  • A dedication to ensuring accurate accounting and cost forecasting.
  • Experience and proficiency with Microsoft Office software, specifically Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work on multiple items at once
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Demonstrated strong analytical skills and attention to detail.


What Desired Skills You'll Bring:
  • Experience in dealing with various types of contracts is desired. (e.g., firm-fixed-price, cost-plus-award-fee, cost-plus-fixed-fee, and time and material).
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, Economics or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Working knowledge of ERP Systems (Deltek Costpoint, Oracle).
  • Strong interpersonal skills for cross-functional collaboration (Program Mangers, Contracts, Operations)

Salary Range: $30.58 - $53.51
