ABOUT THE ROLEThe
Corporate Chef will play a key role in supporting Roland Foods' commercial growth by delivering culinary expertise directly to customers. This is a mid-level, highly customer-facing position focused on translating Roland's global specialty ingredients into actionable menu solutions that drive sales.
This role is ideal for a chef who thrives in dynamic environments and enjoys working closely with customers through in-person kitchen visits, product demonstrations, and menu innovation sessions. The Corporate Chef will collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, Innovation, and Supply Chain teams, reporting directly to the Head of Culinary.
Travel RequirementThis is a
Remote role with
up to 60% travel, primarily focused on customer kitchen visits, product demonstrations, and sales support. There is strong expectation of frequent travel to customer sites, test kitchens, and industry events.
RESPONSIBILITIESCustomer Engagement & Sales Support- Serve as a culinary lead in customer-facing engagements, including R&D kitchen visits, product cuttings, and ideation sessions
- Partner closely with Sales teams to support customer meetings with chefs, R&D teams, and buyers to unlock new business opportunities, including private label and custom development
- Lead and execute culinary demonstrations and product presentations that showcase Roland's ingredient portfolio and capabilities
- Support customer menu development through recipe creation, application guidance, and concept ideation
Culinary Expertise & Menu Development- Build and maintain a suite of go-to recipes, demos, and menu applications for use across customer presentations and sales meetings
- Translate global food trends and ingredient insights into customer-relevant menu solutions
- Conduct product cuttings and competitive benchmarking to identify key product differentiation and selling points
- Serve as a culinary subject matter expert (SME) across cross-functional initiatives
Cross-Functional Collaboration- Partner with Marketing and Creative teams to develop recipes, culinary content, and campaign support materials
- Collaborate with Innovation, Supply Chain, and FSQA teams to support product evaluations, customer requests, and specification alignment
- Support trade shows, customer events, and internal meetings with culinary expertise and execution
Travel & Field Execution- Travel extensively to support customer kitchen visits, on-site R&D sessions, and sales meetings
- Represent Roland Foods at industry events, tradeshows, and customer activations
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLSRequired- Culinary degree (Culinary Arts or related field) or equivalent professional experience
- 3-6 years of experience in corporate culinary, foodservice, or customer-facing culinary roles (aligned to mid-level expectations based on both source roles)
- Demonstrated experience in culinary demonstrations, customer presentations, and menu ideation
- Strong understanding of foodservice operations and operator needs
Preferred- Experience working with foodservice distributors, national accounts, or private label development
- Passion for global cuisine trends and specialty ingredients
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage both culinary and commercial audiences
- Strong collaboration across cross-functional teams
- Commercial mindset with ability to translate culinary into sales impact
- Highly organizes and adaptable in a travel-heavy environment

SALARY RANGERoland Foods hires exceptional people to perform a wide variety of important functions that contribute to the success of the Company. One of the ways Roland Foods does that is through a competitive compensation package. The base salary for this role will be
$95,000 - $105,000.
This role is bonus eligible.Based on your qualifications, previous experience, and transferrable skills, the Company will determine at its sole discretion, the salary offered.
