Job Summary:We are seeking a Corporate Banking Analyst to join the Financial Institutions Group (FIG) Relationship Management Team for MUFG's Global Corporate & Investment Bank (GCIB) in New York, NY.
GCIB is responsible for managing the Bank's global client relationships in a variety of industry verticals, including FIG. The FIG sector includes insurance companies, banks, asset managers, specialty finance companies, and other financial institutions. The FIG relationship management team is responsible for understanding its clients' business initiatives and strategies and coordinating with internal product partners to develop the appropriate solutions to help its clients reach those goals. Key internal product partners include fund finance, global structured solutions, FX, rates and derivatives, capital markets and transaction banking.
In this role, the Analyst will work alongside senior bankers and assist with credit underwriting, portfolio management, client relationship support, and transaction execution while gaining exposure to a broad range of corporate and investment banking products and services.
Responsibilities:- Perform financial statement, credit, and industry analysis.
- Assist in preparing credit approval memoranda, annual reviews, and portfolio monitoring reports.
- Support new lending opportunities, amendments, renewals, and transaction execution.
- Develop client presentations, briefing materials, and management reports.
- Conduct company, industry, and peer research.
- Coordinate with internal partners across Risk, Capital Committee, Capital Markets, Syndications, and Transaction Banking.
- Participate in client meetings and support relationship management activities.

Skills & Experience:- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field.
- 6 months - 2 years of experience in U.S. banking and international markets with an emphasis on corporate credit analysis, capital markets and/or financial services (FIG) coverage, including internships
- Proficiency in Copilot, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Excellent interpersonal skills including business writing, editing, and proofreading
- Strong analytical, quantitative and financial modeling skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Interest in corporate banking, credit analysis, and financial institutions
Compensation & Benefits:The typical base pay range for this role is between $76k - $110k depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location. This role may also be eligible for certain discretionary performance-based bonus and/or incentive compensation.
