Job Summary

The Corporate Attorney position combines commercial legal practice with legal operations ownership, support of the company's strategic and operational initiatives while driving efficiency, process improvements, and scalability across the legal function. The Corporate Attorney will be expected to provide practical solutions, strong partnership and accountability, and be comfortable negotiating complex commercial agreements and building durable systems and workflows that enable the legal team to deliver consistent, high-quality service to the business.

Associate Responsibilities
  • Provide day-to-day guidance and support to a direct report, including work prioritization, coaching and professional development, creating an engaging, high-performance environment.
  • Oversee and conduct the review, drafting and negotiation of a broad range of commercial and transactional agreements, exercising judgment and setting standards for work performed by others, while providing strategic legal counsel on contract interpretations, contractual compliance and risk allocation.
  • Provide legal guidance to business teams on existing and new initiatives, advising on deal structure, risk considerations and alignment with company objectives.
  • Oversee and continuously optimize the contract lifecycle management (CLM) process, including intake, routing, approval workflows, execution, and repository management leveraging current Agiloft CLM platform.
  • Define and drive the requirements, workflows, and success criteria for legal technology solutions, including CLM platforms, e-signature, and AI assisted tools, and partner with IT on technical implementation, integration and ongoing support.
  • Develop and maintain template agreements, fallback positions, and negotiation playbooks to drive consistency, efficiency, and scalable self-service contracting for routine vendor and procurement matters.
  • Create and deliver training programs and guidance for business teams on contracting fundamentals, legal policies, and self-service tools to promote informed decision-making and consistent contracting practices.
  • Partner with IT, finance, procurement, and other key stakeholders on cross-functional process automation and integration initiatives supporting commercial contracting and legal operations.
  • Manage relationships with outside counsel on specialized commercial matters, ensuring alignment with business objectives, disciplined scope management, and cost control.


Required Education
  • Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school with active bar membership in at least one U.S. jurisdiction


Required Skills & Experience
  • Minimum of 8 years of commercial legal experience, including contract review, drafting and negotiation of complex commercial agreements, with sound judgment around risk allocation and business objectives
  • Prior in-house experience and expertise in direct selling, consumer products, or e-commerce industries preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, develop, and mentor a team, setting clear priorities, providing direction and feedback, and fostering accountability and high engagement
  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships with peers, direct reports and executive management
  • Experience implementing and scaling legal operations processes, including contract lifecycle management
  • Must demonstrate a conceptual and business-oriented approach to communicating complex legal concepts into clear, actionable guidance and be able to effectively communicate with and influence non-legal business leaders
  • Dedicated, self-motivated, proactive and high energy individual with a strong desire to exceed expectations
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal skills
  • Strong ability to direct multiple projects concurrently managing time effectively to address high priority items in a timely manner
  • Demonstrated technology fluency, including leading or supporting the evaluation and implementation of CLM tools and other legal technology and AI solutions while bridging legal and technical needs.

  • Appropriate documentation required for travel outside of the US
  • This position has a Hybrid location: Associate will work on-site regularly as needed for work activities.
