Position Summary & Bio

Are you an ambitious Director of Financial Reporting, Assistant Controller, or experienced Controller looking to make your mark on a rapidly scaling organization? Our Health & Wellness client is seeking a growth minded Corporate Controller for a unique Corporate Controller role. This role is specifically designed for a professional who wants a permanent, full-time home.

Operating in a 100% remote capacity, you will report directly to a highly supportive CFO who is ready to mentor and elevate your career. As Corporate Controller, you will take ownership of the accounting engine for a thriving enterprise with a healthy bottom line . This is a high-impact position where you will bring financial rigor, clean up core balance sheet accounts, streamline workflows, and help integrate ongoing acquisitions for an organization that impacts thousands of lives daily.

Job Duties & Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage a remote accounting team of 12 professionals, including 8 transactional staff through out the US and North America
  • Direct and optimize the month-end close cycle, building and executing a curated close calendar to maximize team horsepower.
  • Define, establish, and institutionalize stronger accounting processes and clear internal responsibilities across the department.
  • Oversee and conduct extensive reconciliation clean-up work, with a specific focus on payroll accruals, proper P&L allocations, and tracking payroll expenses accurately.
  • Supervise the daily operations of Accounts Payable to ensure absolute accuracy and timely processing.
  • Ensure payroll is executed seamlessly in coordination with a highly capable Director of Payroll.
  • Spearhead the modernization of the treasury function, transitioning the company from manual paper checks to a robust online payment process.
  • Drive system optimization by leading the transition from Zoho to Expensify for corporate Travel & Expense (T&E) management.
  • Manage and execute accurate, routine Balance Sheet reconciliations.
  • Manage debt interest payments and maintain close tracking of corporate debt schedules.
  • Learn and take over debt covenant calculations under the direct training and mentorship of the CFO.
  • Support the post-acquisition accounting integration for newly acquired entities as part of the company's aggressive M&A growth strategy.
  • Coordinate directly with external auditors from Deloitte to ensure smooth annual audit processes.
  • Partner closely with the SVP of FP&A to ensure streamlined sharing of operational and transactional financial data.
  • Collaborate directly with the CFO on the preparation and delivery of the executive board reporting package.
