Full Job Description
We are currently seeking a Core Systems Manager to join our Credit Union. As the Core Systems Manager, you'll be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of systems such as the core financial, Enterprise Content Management (ECM), eDocument, consumer loan origination, and account opening (LOS). You'll manage data processing functions for increased utilization, efficiency, and effectiveness while identifying, enhancing and recommending strategies, tactics, and process improvement to improve employee and member satisfaction and business capabilities. You'll lead team members through daily monitoring, coaching and development to ensure they are a professional and friendly resource for employee questions/issues with core systems, while building trust through everyday interactions.

What You'll Do:

  • Oversee, coordinate and assist in the daily activity of the Core System department(s) to include assignment of duties and special projects, monitoring workload and productivity, planning and prioritization, problem resolution, and develop recommendations for change or improvement.
  • Oversee daily administration, performance, and stability of the Nusenda's core financial system and all associated peripheral platforms, including batch processing, job automation, integrations, and system monitoring.
  • Ensure service continuity and support to business operations, including after hours or on-call, as needed.
  • Ensure data integrity, system availability, and processing accuracy through proactive monitoring, exception handling, and incident resolution aligned with Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL)service management practices.
  • Coordinate system updates with internal business and technology stakeholders, patching, and releases, ensuring proper testing, validation, and change control compliance by implementing ITIL standards and processes.
  • Identify opportunities for optimization, automation, and performance improvements to enhance member experience and internal operational efficiency.
  • Maintain audit-ready controls, documentation, and system procedures to support regulatory compliance and internal/external audits.


What You'll Need:

  • Five years to eight years of similar or related experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Information Technology or Computer Science preferred


Key Skills and Experience:

  • Must be able to handle multiple responsibilities, meet deadlines, deal with sensitive information and handle problem resolution.
  • Exceptional verbal, written, and presentation skills with the ability to work with multiple levels of the organization.
  • Development, performance management, training, and employee counseling skills essential.
  • Excellent organizational and attention to detail skills.
  • Must possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to derive innovative strategies and implement them in a timely, effective manner.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to change and proactively communicate.
