Position Description: The Copilot Studio Lead Developer is responsible for designing, developing, and delivering enterprise-grade AI agents using Microsoft Copilot Studio. This role leads the technical implementation of intelligent conversational solutions by translating business requirements and solution designs into secure, scalable, and user-friendly Copilot experiences.
The successful candidate will leverage Copilot Studio capabilities including topics, actions, knowledge sources, generative orchestration, prompts, instructions, connectors, and publishing channels while ensuring adherence to governance, security, and Responsible AI standards.
Your future duties and responsibilities: - Lead the design, configuration, and development of Microsoft Copilot Studio agents.
- Design agent architecture, including topics, actions, triggers, conversation flows, knowledge sources, prompts, and generative orchestration.
- Develop reusable topics, templates, prompts, and action patterns to accelerate solution delivery.
- Integrate Copilot Studio with Power Automate, Data verse, Microsoft 365, Teams, SharePoint, - Microsoft Graph, Azure services, enterprise APIs, and custom connectors.
- Develop secure APIs, Azure Functions, middleware, Model Context Protocol (MCP) services, and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) solutions using Azure AI Search or approved data platforms.
- Support Azure AI Foundry prototypes and production-ready AI solutions.
- Optimize agent performance through prompt engineering, response quality improvements, testing, and production support.
- Provide technical leadership, establish development standards, and mentor Copilot Studio developers.
- Ensure solutions comply with enterprise architecture, security, governance, authentication, observability, and Responsible AI standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, secure, and high-quality AI solutions.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role: - Hands-on experience with Microsoft Copilot Studio.
- Strong experience with the Microsoft Power Platform, including Power Automate and Dataverse.
- Knowledge of Generative AI, including prompt engineering, conversational design, and AI agent orchestration.
- Experience integrating solutions with Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, Microsoft 365, connectors, and enterprise data sources.
- Ability to troubleshoot Copilot agents, Power Automate flows, authentication issues, and AI response quality.
- Strong communication, documentation, and technical problem-solving skills.
Preferred certifications
. Microsoft Certified: Power Platform Developer Associate.
. Microsoft Certified: Power Platform Functional Consultant Associate.
. Microsoft Certified: Azure AI Engineer Associate.
CGI is providing a reasonable estimate of the pay range for this role. The determination of this range includes factors such as skill set level, geographic market, experience and training, and licenses and certifications. Compensation decisions depend on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $65,000-$115,000. This role is an existing vacancy.
