Responsibilities

  • Coordinate office operations, including reception and custodial needs, while managing office supply stock levels.
  • Supervise staff, establish work priorities, and monitor service delivery.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and operational best practices.
  • Collaborate with the Asset Management Coordinator to complete operational work orders and manage inventories.
  • Work with the Logistics Technician to facilitate timely delivery of materials to northern villages by air or sealift.
  • Assist in budget planning for logistics and operations, controlling expenses and setting performance goals.
  • Identify process improvement opportunities and implement changes to enhance quality and efficiency across logistics activities.
  • Manage documentation and reporting in partnership with the Assistant Director of Supply Chain and Logistics.
  • Collaborate with other departments to fulfill shared objectives.

Full Job Description
COORDINATOR: LOGISTICS AND OPERATIONS
(Permanent, Full Time)

Under the supervision of the Assistant Director of Supply Chain and Logistics of the KRG Administration Department, the Coordinator of Logistics and Operations is responsible for coordinating all activities and functions related to KRG logistics and operations.

Specific duties shall include, but not limited to:
  • Plan, coordinate, and supervise all functions such as KRG Main Office receptionists, custodial requirements, maintain accurate stock levels of office type supplies, including overseeing storage of supplies and management of day-to-day logistical duties
  • Supervise employees and identify priorities, schedules work plans and follow-up on the delivery of services
  • Ensure total compliance of logistics and operations with safety standards and management best practices
  • Working closely with the Coordinator of Asset Management, ensure the proper and timely completion of operational work order requests, including, but not limited to, housing and office inventories and disposal of KRG assets
  • Working closely with the Administration Department's Logistics Technician, ensure timely delivery of KRG goods and materials to the northern villages either by air cargo or annual sealift resupply
  • Assist in the annual budget processes related to logistics and operational type expenses, control spending and set performance goals
  • Identify opportunities for improvement, formulate best practices and implement changes for better efficiency and quality in compliance with KRG's processes and procedures
  • Work closely with the Assistant Director of Supply Chain and Logistics to manage documentation associated with producing reports on a daily, weekly and monthly basis
  • Work in close collaboration with other departments to achieve common tasks
  • Other related tasks as required

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Completion of a post-secondary program in Operation Management, Logistics or equivalent field. Equivalent work experience and education will be considered.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of related experience in a logistics and operational type of environment including employee supervision
  • Demonstrated knowledge of inventory control methods, best practices and procedures required
  • Proven experience in team leadership with attention to quality of service provided
  • Proven ability to delegate
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
  • Ability to adapt to new software is a must
  • Must have a valid driver's license
  • Must be willing to travel frequently in the 14 communities in Nunavik
  • Written and oral working knowledge of at least two (2) of the following languages:Inuktitut, English and French
