JOB SUMMARY

The Coordinator 1 for GTE & Perkins Grants ensures all programs, of study are properly equipped to maximize student attainment of industry-related skills, This position reports to the Director of CTE finance. This position monitors the equitable of federal CTE funding, manages the purchase, inventory, and maintenance of CTE-specific equipment, technology, supplies, and materials monitoring all program needs through an equity lens, and trains the team on financial procedures and compliance as it relates to CTE state and Perkins funding.

MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Manage and lead processing of purchases made with federal Perkins Funds, including, but not limited to, compliance with guidelines as set forth by the state, and utilizing appropriate district procedures.
2. Collaborate with Coordinator 2, Program of Study, to determine the equipment, tools, technology, curriculum, and test preparation materials related to industry-based certifications required for programs of study; provide training to program specialists on financial rules as it relates to program needs.
3. Monitor and ensure Perkins Grant compliance to prevent issues such as supplanting and improper use of federal grants funds; train team on Perkins compliance rules

4. Collaborate with team members to plan and organize meetings, workshops, and events, including scheduling, logistics, and materials preparation, including training team on financial requirements.
5. Create and lead processes for ensuring GTE team decides and communicates on school requests for CTE purchases, including training team.
6. Regularly engages customers, clients, and end users, including through frequent school visits, to gather personal feedback on the impact of activities and needs.
7. Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION

Associate Degree or 60 hours

WORK EXPERIENCE

At least 3 years working in project management, preferably in a similar industry or organization.

SKILL AND/OR REQUIRED LICENSING/CERTIFICATION

Office equipment (e.g., computer, copier)
Strong understanding of project management principles, methodologies, and tools.
Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate cross-functional teams towards achieving project goals and deliverables.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a proactive and solutions-oriented mindset.
Proficient in project management software and tools for planning, tracking and reporting.
Knowledge of budgeting, financial management, and resource allocation principles.
Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Strong attention to detail and quality, ensuring high standards of project deliverables.
Flexibility and adaptability to changing project requirements and priorities.
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to identify and mitigate project risks.
Professional certifications in project management (e.g. PMP, PRINCE2) are desirable.
Ability to travel as required.

LEADERSHIP RESPONSIBILITIES

Work Leadership. Regularly provides project management or team leadership to a group of two or more day-to-day direction to staff; may become directly involved, as required, to meet schedules and resolve problems. Responsible for assigning work, meeting completion dates, interpreting and ensuring application of policies and procedures. Receives assignments in the form of objectives, with goals and the process by which to meet goals. Provides input to hiring, performance and budget.

Work is normally performed in a typical interior work environment which does not subject the employee to any hazardous or unpleasant elements.
