Full Job Description
Job Summary

Software Application Specialist III supports TDControls on the Shared Services team that works with all TDControls locations. This position is responsible for building the Tridium Worktstation backbone using Niagara framework, integrate 3rd party controller interfaces, integrate field level controller template programs from Siemens and Distech product lines for all equipment within a project, and builds and binds graphics for building automation and access control systems. Creates Niagara and field level programming for complex or advanced systems to meet sequence of operations for projects. Assists is software reviews of projects prior to completion. Works closely with TDControls Partners to resolve discrepancies and effectively communicates application constraints to complete assigned work in a timely manner.

Essential Duties

  • Actively engage in Sales to Operations Turnover Meetings to acquire project specifications and contract documents from the sales team.
  • Designs building automation and access control workstations for both new construction and service installed jobs based off of specifications, sequences of operation and controls submittals.
  • Communicates with managers and project managers to complete job assignments in a timely manner.
  • Creates Tidium Niagara Station backbone and communication structure per controls submitals and drawings.
  • Loads and configures standard programming into field controllers and integrates the field devices to the BAS front end.
  • Performs system integrations with 3rd party devices and equipment into Tridium, Siemens, or Distech controls systems.
  • Creates programming for complex BAS systems to meet engineered sequence of operations for large and advanced projects.
  • Assists is software reviews of projects prior to completion.

Minimum Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree in IT, Computer Systems, or related field, or equivalent experience is desired.
  • 2 or more years of experience in HVAC controls, including field technician roles.
  • 5+ years' experience in BAS controls in a software programming role.
  • Tridium Advanced Niagara Certification.
  • Tridium wiresheet logic programming capabilities.
  • Knowledge of industry-standard communication protocols such as LON, Modbus, and BACnet.
  • Certification with Siemens or Distech controller products is required.
  • COMPTIA A+ and Net+ Certification
  • Strong knowledge of engineering processes.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office, MDT/CT, Navigator....
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Fully proficient and independent design skills.
  • Customer focused, results-oriented professional and strong team player.
  • Self-starter that demonstrates initiative.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and stay organized to meet deadlines.
