As a Controls Room Product Manager - Vice President you will lead a team of Product Owners toward the future of the Control Management technology ecosystem. We are looking for someone who has a penchant for effective communication and critical thinking, with a strategic, analytical, and energetic personality. This is a high-impact opportunity within our Control Management organization that comes with great visibility across all groups at the firm and the ability to impact thousands of employees by increasing efficiency in their day-to-day.

As a Product Manager within the Controls Room Organization, you will be instrumental in transforming the Control Management Organization by driving key elements of change through innovative technology, frameworks, and processes. You will operate with a "speed-to-production" mindset, using iterative delivery approaches (e.g., Pizza POD model) to rapidly prototype leveraging tools such as Claude Code and/or GitHub Copilot, validate with users, and scale durable capabilities. The features we build will be AI-first, embedding intelligent assistance into core workflows from the start. Your role in supporting the product team will involve collaborating with various Control Management application Product Owners, business and function representatives, and our technology partners. Through these partnerships you will influence changes in applications across the Control Management organization and oversee development of new applications and capabilities to drive toward our tooling transformation roadmap. The Controls Room Team within Control Management works collaboratively with other control disciplines and oversees existing control functions as well as the development of new control functions and protocols. The team's objective is to empower the three lines of defense with risk-based information to manage their control environment. We achieve this by collecting, analyzing and monitoring firmwide risk-based intelligence into all lines of business and corporate functions.

The Controls Room gathers information from key business and technology partners in order to:
  • Facilitate better decision making and actionable insights across the Firm.
    • Create cost-effective and automated reporting; and
    • Provide views into risk and issues.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Lead cross functional teams through the product development lifecycle, evolve the Control Managers' technology experience and deliver against the Product's roadmaps.
  • Monitor progress of roadmap deliverables to escalate risks and concerns.
  • Ensure the product roadmap is AI-first, partnering with technology teams to embed intelligent assistance and automation into the end-user experience.
  • Deliver iteratively using agile practices and small, empowered teams (e.g., Pizza POD), accelerating time-to-value through rapid prototyping leveraging tools such as Claude Code and/or GitHub Copilot, and continuous feedback loops.
  • Manage relationships with Line of Business and Function Leads and key stakeholders to build-out and maintain long-term roadmaps.
  • Partner with Technology Leads and Product Owners to drive modernization efforts and deliver solutions aligned with the Product roadmaps in a timely manner.
  • Translate higher level strategy and requirements from internal stakeholders into actionable tasks for Product Owners and Agile development teams (e.g., user stories, acceptance criteria).
  • Provide subject matter expertise and impact analysis for projects driven by the Control Management organization to influence end-to-end implementation across the Controls Room teams.
  • Manage and participate in multiple project workstreams concurrently to proactively enhance outcomes, identify effective solutions, and mitigate issues.
  • Partner with the Program Management team to ensure the Product's progress is reported accurately on status reports.
  • Present roadmaps, technology solutions, and status updates on various forums with senior stakeholders.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills:
  • Product Management background with 5+ years of demonstrated experience owning and delivering a product(s) across the full product lifecycle (discovery, delivery, adoption, optimization), with accountability for outcomes and performance.
  • Advanced experience translating complex user requests to clear technical requirements using agile methodology and management tools such as JIRA.
  • Deliver iteratively using agile practices and small, empowered teams (e.g., Pizza POD), accelerating time-to-value through rapid prototyping, partnering tightly with design and engineering, and continuous feedback loops.
  • Experience with AI-assisted development and prototyping tools (e.g., Claude Code, GitHub Copilot) in line with approved tooling/controls.
  • Lead customer discovery (research, workflow analysis, pain-point identification) to translate user needs into a prioritized roadmap and clear value proposition.
  • Hands-on experience incorporating AI-enabled capabilities into products (e.g., orchestration, decision support, human-in-the-loop review) with an emphasis on control, transparency, and auditability.
  • Own and maintain the product backlog, ensuring epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria are well-defined, testable, and aligned to outcomes (and evolving approach as the firm evolves the software development lifecycle).
  • Establish and track success metrics to measure ROI and business value, leveraging data to guide prioritization and investment decisions.
  • Support go-to-market and change management including launch planning, training/ readiness, documentation, and post-launch support to drive adoption and measurable business impact.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills; must be able to communicate with a wide variety of functional groups at various levels. Enthusiastic, self-motivated, effective under pressure and willing to take personal responsibility/accountability.
  • Flexible, adaptable to shifting priorities; able to work in a fast-paced, results driven environment. Effective time management and multitasking skills.

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills:
  • Knowledge of data analytics and AI tools such as Github Copilot, Claude Code, Tableau, Alteryx or Python is preferred.
  • Experience in financial industry, auditing, compliance, or consulting and an understanding of risks & controls management is beneficial.
  • Knowledge of compliance and regulatory requirements for consumer banking industry is a plus.
