Controls Project Manager

Job Type: Full-Time +, Exempt

Pay: Competitive, Salary

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

  • Manage multiple projects with varying team members
  • Work with Clients, Business Development Staff, Managers and Engineers to coordinate project designs
  • Work with existing clients and new prospects to identify business opportunities
  • Prepare engineering proposals and fee estimates
  • Prepare management reports for internal and external use
  • Manage project scopes, budgets, schedules and personnel
  • Coordinate and manage Computer Aided Drafting and engineering quality control
  • Utilize basic engineering principles and practical design solutions for scope development
  • Coordinate and oversee design and quality control of system enclosure, communications, Point to Point Wiring and related diagram and schematics
  • Coordinate and manage Integrators, Controls Designers with control wiring, communication and control concepts
  • Manage and assist personnel to utilize basic engineering principles and practical design solutions.
  • Manage and oversee development and review of custom designs and automation sequences
  • Coordinate and communicate with clients on equipment deliveries, field work, startups, pre-commissioning, commissioning, training and witness test efforts
  • Work with sub-consultant(s) to coordinate trades
  • Attend job meetings & coordinate activities as required
  • Attend training as requested to further enhance your duties
  • Review and approve team member timesheets
  • Perform financial and invoicing review with accounting team on a regular basis
  • Complete and submit weekly paperwork (e.g. Timesheets, Expense Reports, etc.)

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Ability to work accurately, execute projects with a high level of success, and maintain attention to detail
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong documentation skills
  • Outstanding initiative, well-organized and strong sense of responsibility
  • Excellent computer knowledge and advanced skills using CAD and Microsoft Office applications are required
  • Outstanding knowledge and ability to create, review and interpret - power AC single and three line diagrams, power DC diagrams, control diagrams, communication schematics and dataflow diagrams

Education & Experience:

  • BS in Engineering, Engineering Management, or a similar discipline (preferred)
  • Five to ten years of experience
  • Experience with REVIT is an advantage

License & Certifications:

  • Driver's License Required
  • PMP Certification Preferred, but not required


Travel:

Occasional overnight stays and local day travel may be necessary. You will be responsible for providing your own transportation to and from the office and job sites. You will be reimbursed for business expenses such as tolls, parking and business-related mileage at a rate allowable by government standards. The expenses incurred traveling to and from the office are excluded from reimbursement.

Physical Requirements:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
