  • 3+ years experience in designing and implementing process network infrastructures (Ethernet, Device Net, Control Net, ProfiBus)
  • 3+ years experience in an industrial manufacturing setting
  • 3+ years knowledge of US electrical codes and construction methods.

Responsibilities

  • Design and troubleshoot software and hardware for control systems using PLCs
  • Develop new PLC applications and interfaces or embedded controls
  • Automate manufacturing processes with instrumentation and controls systems
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot network infrastructures including Ethernet, DeviceNet, AS-i, and Profibus
  • Modify or develop set-up and commissioning of new or existing facilities
  • Design, specify, and procure control panel equipment and electrical devices
  • Troubleshoot and resolve operational malfunctions to enhance efficiency and quality.

Full Job Description
Job Duties:

  • Design and troubleshoot both software and hardware necessary for control systems utilizing PLCs for integration of manufacturing systems.
  • Develop new PLC applications, interfaces, or embedded controls.
  • Automate manufacturing processes through the use of instrumentation or controls systems.
  • Design, diagnose, and troubleshoot network infrastructures - Ethernet, DeviceNet, AS-i, Profibus etc.
  • Develop new or modify existing set-up and commissioning of new facilities or upgrading of existing facilities.
  • Design, specify, wire, and procure control panel equipment, e.g. safety circuits, I/O, networks, etc.
  • Design, specify, and procure electrical equipment, e.g. MCCs, panelboards, transformers, etc.
  • Specify, procure, configure, and troubleshoot controls hardware and field instrumentation.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve malfunctions and makes recommendations that will improve efficiency or quality of operations.
  • Develop bid documentation for Electrical, Automation, and Low Voltage (network, security) vendors.
  • Document specifications and operating procedures.
  • Interface and manage installation contractors during construction.
  • Research Automation and Controls materials and best practices.
  • This position is hybrid; may work from home up to 2 days per week, as permitted.
  • Up to 50% travel is required to visit project sites and other offices


Qualifications:

  • Must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree or its equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field and at least 3 years of experience as an Automation Engineer or in a related role.

The salary for this position is at least $111,987 per year.
