A Snapshot of Your Day The controls engineer will be part of Customer Technical support, as the name may imply, we respond to our customer's needs for technical support. Your day may start with an email from our distributor in Japan looking for technical clarifications for some recently purchased engines, followed by a local customer within Indiana who's having trouble starting an engine. Either way, our customers look to us in times of difficulty.
Globally supporting our customers can sometimes feel like an immense task, but we act as a team, and no one is expected to know all the answers. Of course, there are also the less mundane tasks such as reviewing service bulletins and manuals prior to being released.
How You'll Make an Impact - Provide global technical support for the SGT-A05 (nee Allison 501) gas turbine portfolio owned by customers in the oil / gas and the distributed power generation industries.
- Travel to customer sites to resolve technical issues.
- Provide technical advice to other departments such as Sales, Design Engineering, Project Engineering, Parts and Operations Departments.

- Provide advice and support to the technical writer for the SGT-A05 range of gas turbines.
- Act as an interface between engineering, overhaul repair facilities and the packagers of the SGT-A05 gas turbines for performance related topics.
What You Bring - Engineering degree in mechanical and/or electrical engineering (associates degree may be considered).
- 8+ years of experience with PLC architecture and coding is required (Allen Bradley based experience preferred).
- 8+ years of experience with rotating equipment strongly preferred.
- Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.
Remote work may be available.
