Controls Engineer (ME Engineer Automation & Control)

• Develop, modify, and troubleshoot PLC, HMI, and robotic control systems to support production and improve equipment performance
• Commission, program, and optimize automated manufacturing equipment, including industrial robots and integrated automation systems
• Diagnose and resolve electrical, controls, and automation issues to minimize downtime and improve overall equipment effectiveness
• Collaborate with Maintenance, Manufacturing Engineering, and Production teams to implement process improvements and support new equipment launches
• Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for automation, quality, and process-related issues
• Maintain control system documentation, backups, and program revisions while supporting continuous improvement, safety, and production efficiency
This is what you bring to us
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, Mechatronics, Automation Engineering, or a related field
• Experience programming and troubleshooting PLCs, HMIs, and industrial automation systems (Allen-Bradley and/or Siemens preferred)
• Experience with industrial robots, including ABB, FANUC, or Universal Robots (UR), and their associated programming software
• Strong understanding of electrical schematics, industrial networks, sensors, motion control, and machine safety systems
• Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills with the ability to support a fast-paced manufacturing environment
