DESCRIPTIONA Controls Engineer- HW can apply electrical/pneumatic theory and related knowledge for design and implementation of industrial controls systems and assembly tools. Applying a working knowledge of electrical/pneumatic principles as well as the ability to understand wiring diagrams, layout drawings and engineering specifications is required. An Electrical/Pneumatics Controls Engineer must be professional, proactive and positive when interacting with customers.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES - Design complete Electrical Panel or Pneumatic control systems for industrial applications with AutoCAD, EPLAN a plus.
- Allen Bradley, and Siemens PLC/HMI Software and Siemens experience preferred, for background in design; but Programming would not be required regularly.
- Familiar with GM, Ford, Stellantis or other OEM design templates and specifications.
- Support manufacturing resources and customers, troubleshoot and debug systems.
- Provide onsite support to our customers as needed.
- Work with mechanical design team to create new or modify existing controls systems.
- Must be able to travel within the continental US, Canada and Mexico
- Other duties as assigned

- Working knowledge of AutoCAD and/or EPLAN and at least a basic understanding of RSLogix 5000.

EDUCATIONPrefer an Associate degree in electrical technology, manufacturing or a related field, AND at least three years of related experience. Requires at least two years of experience managing multiple projects. Requires at least three years of PLC programming experience. Siemens and Allen Bradley hardware knowledge preferred.
Available and willing to Enroll and complete any Customer specific training for Certification in design/programming. This training would be paid training; usually online. GM, Ford, Stellantis and others require certifications. If certifications are already held, an update may be required.
