About this roleAs a Controls Engineer, you will be crucial to ALC's business through the design of advanced building automation systems created specifically for each individual customer. We are looking for someone who works well in a team and has excellent problem-solving, time management, and multi-tasking skills. You will have the opportunity to apply your knowledge you will work on larger and moderately more complex projects.
Key Responsibilities:- Creating project submittals; includes installation drawings, wiring diagrams, network architecture of a complete control system, as-built drawings and compiling redline drawings provided by installation contractor. Creating operation and maintenance manuals.
- Creating WebCTRL databases, equipment control programming and equipment graphics.
- Coordinating schedules with project managers for programming and graphics due dates to meet startup dates in the field.
- Attend various project meetings i.e. commissioning meetings and owner meetings.
- Keeping files updated in the cloud.
- Support field engineers and setting up Webctrl project servers.
Required Qualifications:- Associate Degree with 2+ years of HVAC industry experience
- High School Diploma with 4+ years of HVAC industry experience.
- 2+ years of experience with drafting software i.e. Microsoft Visio / Autocad.
- Capable of climbing ladders or using other lift equipment over 8 feet above grade, and capable of lifting items up to 50lbs.
- Ability to go to client sites for Field Engineering support as needed.
Preferred Qualifications:- Associate's degree or higher in an Engineering or Construction discipline.
- Experience in HVAC controls, Building Automation, or related industry.
- Working knowledge of primary functions of building automation system software and associated engineering tools, Automated Logic suites preferred.
- Working knowledge of Automated Logic software, hardware, peripherals, add-ons, and services.
- Experience with third-party communication protocols used in building automation, such as BACnet, Modbus, SNMP, LON, N2, etc.
- Experience with Enterprise IP networks, or similar software.
- Ability to understand written sequences of operations, diagrammatic depictions of systems.
- Able to translate technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite software.
Pay RangeThe annual salary for this position is between $64,500.00 - $129,500.00 annually. Factors which may affect pay within this range include, but are not limited to, skills, education, experience, and other unique qualifications of the successful candidate.
Other CompensationThis position may be entitled to short-term cash incentives, subject to plan requirements.
