Our Opportunity: Controls EngineerStatus: Full Time Day Shift Hours: 8-hour shiftSchedule: Monday-FridaySummary:The Controls Engineer designs, implements, and maintains electrical and electronic processes in order to increase productivity and efficiency throughout the plant.
What You Will Be Doing- Design, program, and troubleshoot PLC-based control systems (Allen-Bradley, or similar).
- Develop and configure HMI/SCADA applications to monitor and control equipment and processes.
- Specify and integrate sensors, drives, actuators, and other control hardware.
- Support the installation, startup, and commissioning of new equipment and upgrades.
- Maintain and improve existing control systems to enhance safety, quality, and productivity.
- Create and maintain electrical schematics, control panel layouts, and documentation.
- Collaborate with engineering, maintenance, and production to deliver projects on time and within budget.
- Provide technical support to maintenance and operations teams, including training when needed.
- Observes functioning of installed equipment or system to detect hazards and need for adjustments, relocation, or replacement.
- Plans repair to faulty equipment or systems and obtain or provide recommendations for updates.
- Recommend new policies or procedures as necessary.
- Plan for execution of engineering schedules
- Create process specification and design standards.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.
- Other duties may be assigned.
What You Need to Bring- Bachelor's Degree; or seven years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Proficiency with PLC programming languages (ladder logic, structured text).
- Experience configuring HMI/SCADA software.
- Working knowledge of industrial networks and protocols (Ethernet/IP, Modbus, Profibus).
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical and P&ID drawings.
