Requirements of the
Controller- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
- Experience in construction accounting is required.
- In-depth knowledge of construction accounting principles, such as WIP reporting and job costing, is crucial.
- Necessary skills encompass technical proficiency in accounting software and Excel, strong analytical abilities, effective communication, and proven leadership capabilities.
Responsibilities of the
Controller- Oversee financial reporting and analysis, preparing statements like balance sheets and income statements.
- Manage job costing systems to track project expenses and profitability, handle budgeting and forecasting, and monitor project performance against financial plans.
- Manage company cash flow, accounts receivable, and accounts payable, as well as implementing internal controls and coordinating audits.
- Ensure compliance with tax laws and financial regulations, lead accounting staff, contribute to strategic planning, and support project management with contract and insurance matters.
- Manage commercial insurance programs and risk related to projects.
- Supervise full time assistant.
