Responsibilities

  • Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process for a portfolio of commercial real estate assets.
  • Prepare and review financial statements, journal entries, reconciliations, and management reporting.
  • Analyze operating results, budgets, forecasts, and cash flow to support business decisions.
  • Partner closely with Asset Management and Property Management teams to evaluate portfolio performance.
  • Oversee property accounting functions, including AP/AR review, tenant billing, and bank reconciliations.
  • Manage lender reporting, loan compliance, treasury activities, and capital funding requests.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and process improvements across the portfolio.

The Wilner Group has partnered with a premier NYC real estate investment and operating firm to find an experienced Property Controller. This is an outstanding opportunity to join a highly respected organization with an impressive portfolio of Class A Manhattan office properties and a strong pipeline of future developments. The role offers significant visibility, working directly with senior leadership while maintaining a hands-on approach to property accounting and financial operations.
What You'll Do
  • Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process for a portfolio of commercial real estate assets.
  • Prepare and review financial statements, journal entries, reconciliations, and management reporting.
