Qualifications

• 5-7 years of hands-on controllership experience, preferably in a small, PE-backed SaaS company.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and SaaS revenue recognition.
• Proven ability to lead and mentor teams in accounting operations.
• Experience with financial statements and management reporting.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA certification is required.
• Familiarity with cash management, budgeting, and forecasting processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a diverse team of accounting professionals, both onshore and offshore.
• Own and manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes.
• Prepare and present accurate financial statements alongside management reporting.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP regarding SaaS revenue recognition and related practices.
• Oversee cash management functions, including forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis.
• Drive improvements in accounting processes, controls, and system efficiencies.
• Coordinate with external auditors for audits and tax filings, as well as liaise with advisors.
• Collaborate with leadership on strategic financial planning and operational initiatives.
