SUMMARYNuso is currently hiring for a Controller to run their Financial Operations Department. The Controller directs the organization's financial planning and accounting practices as well as its relationship with lending institutions, shareholders, and the financial community by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate managers.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILTIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Advanced budgeting/Forecasting, Advanced Month End Close, Advanced Financial Statement Preparation, Advanced Financial Reporting, Advanced Financial Analysis
- Oversee daily operations of the Accounting functions at NUSO
- Assist in the development of Accounting policies and procedures
- Direct and coordinate company month and year-end close functions
- Responsibilities include timely and accurate reporting for Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Fixed assets, Inventory accounting, sales and use tax, General ledger accounting, Financial Reporting including Balance Sheet, P&L, Statement of Cash Flows, Forecast, Capital Expenditures, and Sales and Margin Reporting
- Prepare financial analysis on as needed basis
- Oversee General Ledger account reconciliations
- Ensure compliance with local, state and federal reporting requirements

Education/TrainingBachelor's degree (B.A., B.S.) from a four-year college or university
Experience- 5-10 years related experience.
- Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to prioritize workflow.
- Strong attention to detail.
- 2+ years Supervisory experience.
COMMUNICATION SKILLSAbility to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations; ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals; ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
