Job Summary and Qualifications
Directs and manages the operations and activities of the Accounts Payable and Payroll areas. Responsible for the department's daily operations to achieve productivity and other objectives as established by the Chief Financial Officer. Responsible for staff performance and the accomplishment of departmental responsibilities in accordance with corporate, hospital, department, and safety policies and procedures to meet both company and regulatory requirements.
Provides direction to the Accounting Department ensuring the position goals in that area are met. Evaluates and counsels employees in the areas listed above to ensure they are knowledgeable of their position goals and responsibilities and that these goals and responsibilities are put into motion on a continuous basis. Performs duties as described in the position responsibilities of a Controller. Reports to the Chief Financial Officer.
What qualifications you will need:
- Bachelor of Science in Accounting or Business Administration
- MBA preferred
- CPA preferred
- Minimum five years experience in Accounting
- Minimum four years healthcare experience
- Supervisory experience strongly preferred
- Knowledge of PC applications including spreadsheet applications
