Design West Technologies Inc. is a leading provider of cutting-edge aerospace and military technologies. We have an immediate need for a full-time Controller in our Tustin, CA facility. The successful candidate will be responsible for establishing financial status by developing and implementing systems for collecting, analyzing, verifying, and reporting financial information.

Key Job Duties:
• Responsible for the day-to-day accounting and cash functions
• Month End closing and reconciliation
• Cash Management
• Manage Audit and Review Responsibilities including but not limited to Annual Financial Reviews, Government Audits, and Bank Audits
• Manage the Budget/Forecasting process
• All other reasonable duties, as assigned

Experience/Skills Requirements:
• Knowledge of government contracts and proposal submittal process
• Excellent listening, negotiation and presentation skills
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
• Strong computer skills including quality control applications, word processing, spreadsheets and databases.
• Experience with MS Office Suite (especially Excel), Database management, Accounting Software (Sage or similar), ERP system
• Experience in Lean and Six-Sigma methodologies a plus
• Experience with AS9100 or ISO 9000 quality standards a plus
• Previous work experience with military products and/or DOD is a plus

Education Requirements:
• BS/BA degree in Accounting or Business with an emphasis in accounting
• CPA preferred
• Minimum 1-2 years of experience in management of accounting personnel
• Experience in Manufacturing environment
