Position OverviewWe are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Controller (CPA) to oversee all financial operations for a stable, growth-focused organization. This individual will serve as a strategic partner to executive leadership while maintaining hands-on responsibility for accounting accuracy, compliance, and reporting integrity.
The ideal candidate brings strong technical accounting knowledge, advanced experience with Sage 300 (ERP), and a proven track record of building reliable financial processes that support operational scalability.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and month-end close processes
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP
- Maintain and improve internal controls and financial policies
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
- Manage cash flow planning and banking relationships
- Coordinate external audits and tax filings
- Supervise and mentor accounting staff
- Optimize and maintain Sage 300 ERP functionality and reporting
- Partner with executive leadership on financial strategy and growth initiatives
Qualifications- Active CPA license required
- 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership responsibility
- Advanced proficiency with Sage 300 ERP
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards
- Experience managing audits and working with external CPA firms
- Demonstrated ability to improve accounting processes and internal controls
- Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally
- High level of integrity, professionalism, and attention to detail
Preferred Experience- Experience within a middle-market or multi-entity organization
- Background supporting operational or manufacturing environments
- Experience with system implementations or ERP optimization
