Full Job Description
POSITION OVERVIEW:

The family office Controller reports to the CFO This position is responsible for the accounting for multiple investment entities. This individual must own all the accounting functions, ensure financial controls are followed.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Financial Accounting

  • Perform full general ledger reconciliations and journal entries for multiple entities.
  • Oversee personal household payroll, high-value asset bills, and unique family expenses.


Financial Planning and reporting

  • Prepare annual budgets and track actual spending to budget


Treasury & Cash Flow Management

  • Establish rigid protocols for funding transfers to prevent fraudulent activities.
  • Track cash balances of operating accounts to cover expenses.


Tax Compliance & Advisory Coordination

  • Organize flawless corporate books for external CPA firm and regulatory authorities.
  • File regulatory compliance reports


Risk Management & Governance

  • Safeguard the absolute privacy, cyber security, and integrity of critical family wealth records.
  • Ensure corporate, state licenses, and statutory filings remain continuously updated.
  • Assess risk parameters to update comprehensive property, casualty, and liability insurance.


PREFERRED PROFILE:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related discipline.
  • At least 5-7 years of full-cycle accounting experience.


Technical Competencies

  • Mastery of QuickBooks, Sage,
  • Advanced Excel capability for cash flow forecasting and Budgeting
